Upon arriving, I noticed a slight smell in the rooms, which were poorly designed with a major backup of people trying to get hot food. Although it was too cold and the layout was a bit awkward to store clothes, the furnishings were in the middle quality range. Service was fabulous, as the staff were very helpful, providing maps and tour info. They were also courteous in changing our room when requested and friendly upon both arrival and check-out. The location, while not downtown, is very special in Toronto, meeting our needs perfectly for walking in the downtown area, even if it wasn't the most comfortable place to walk at night. Dining was a big turn-off for me with little choice in healthy foods. The facilities were satisfactory overall.
